【Question】General regulations for construction site lighting?
【Answer】1. Lighting fixtures and equipment must be well insulated and comply with the provisions of current national standards.
2. Lighting lines should be neatly arranged and relatively fixed. The hanging height of fixed indoor lighting fixtures should not be less than 2.5m, and the outdoor lighting fixtures should not be less than 3m. Waterproof lamp heads should be selected for lighting fixtures installed in open-air workplaces.
3. The lighting lines in site offices, dormitories, and work sheds, except for rubber-sheathed flexible cables and plastic-sheathed wires, should be fixed on insulators and laid separately; when passing through walls, they should be covered with insulating tubes.
4. Lighting power lines must not touch wet ground, and must not be close to heat sources or directly tied to metal frames. When installing temporary lighting on scaffolding, insulators should be added to bamboo and wooden scaffolding, and wooden crossbars and insulators should be set up on metal scaffolding.
5. The lighting switch should control the phase line. When using screw-type lamp holders, the phase line should be connected to the center contact.
6. The use of hand lamps should meet the following requirements:
1) The voltage shall not exceed 36V.
2) For hand lamps used in metal containers and metal pipes, the voltage shall not exceed 12V.
3) Hand lamps should have protective covers.
4) The handle of the hand lamp should be well insulated, heat-resistant, and moisture-proof.
5) The power cord of the hand lamp should use rubber-sheathed flexible cable.
6) The hand lamp transformer must be a dual-winding type. The primary and secondary sides of the hand lamp transformer should be equipped with fuses; the metal shell should be grounded or earthed.
7. It is strictly forbidden to use hand lamp transformers inside metal containers or metal pipes.
8. No lighting fixtures shall be installed directly above the switchboards, distribution cabinets, and busbars in substations and distribution substations (except for enclosed busbars and enclosed switchboards and distribution cabinets).
9. A certain safety distance should be maintained between lighting fixtures and flammable materials. The distance for ordinary lighting fixtures should not be less than 300mm; for high-heat lighting fixtures such as spotlights and iodine tungsten lamps, the distance should not be less than 500mm, and they should not directly illuminate flammable materials. If the distance is insufficient, heat insulation measures should be taken.
